The Traductor is a creepy little story about Elias, Theo and a strange entity.

About the game

This story has its own lore with supernatural elements. It takes place in a close future on earth.

Translator are people who studied in the paranormal. They are like sleeper agents except their mission is to establish first contact with supernatural entities or extraterrestrial beings.

Disclaimer Warning

The story is purely fiction. None of it is real (except the cat).

This game contains mild blood/gore, unsettling imagery, deep trauma and depression themes, self-harm, paranoia, death, a gay couple fighting, father issues, monsters, one jumpscare and a dead cat.

Notes:

  • This is a linear story. There is one ending and none of the choices matter.
  • 20 min/1h to complete the game.
  • This is the first game I have ever made. I will maybe translate it in French (my first language) later this year.
  • All the pictures in the game are mine.
  • My real cat is still alive, don’t worry.
  • Thank you for playing.

An interesting game, it really works well as the opening to the entities you’re creating the mystery to what the thing in the woods is, while the secrets to your partner's past really builds the wonder to what is going on in the town.

Hi, we liked this visual novel as much as "The spider on the wall". Some questions still have to be answered, and I think the appearances of the skinless entity are too short, as if this guy wasn't so important as it seems at first sight, but quite interesting, also the art style.

Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a Youtuber. If you like my videos, please leave a like and subscribe at my channel.

This was a cool visual novel horror game involving a couple with an interesting backstory and the player gets to play through their past and present to learn more about their stories. Firstly, I really have to praise the creator for the beautiful artworks drawn throughout the game. I really liked every single picture drawn and coloured and was really amazed at how beautiful the artwork and design for the game was. The storyline was quite cool as well, using the story of Theo's father and the couple's quarrel to push the story forward. Every image used in the game was able to encapsulate the horrors and wonders at each part of the story and there was good music and sound effects used as well to keep the player entertained. I also liked the additional part at the ending of the game, kinda hinting at there is more to the event that occured in the game.

It would be cool if the main image used to promote the game on itch.io, the two white eyes, was changed to something else more attractive like the detailed drawings that the creator of the game did as I am pretty sure that with such amazing drawing and colouring skills, a cooler icon can be created to draw the attention of the players to play the game. I felt that the game was really good in exploring the issues that couples may face in life but the story about what haunted Theo's father wasn't really explored throughout the game so it would be cool if more was done to elaborate on what was actually going on with Theo's Father and more elaboration on Elia's job as a Traductor.

Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.

Thank you for the feedback! It's very useful to me.

The story has its own universe that will be more explained in other projects. I will update it as soon as I can.
